Description
Wave Cruncher. WINTER LINES ~ GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA Photographed 1 July 2025.
Surfers Paradise to Broadbeach Limited Edition 4-Frame Collection
There are days the ocean performs for no one. No crowds, just lines of glass unfolding in silence. Today was that day.
Winter on the Gold Coast. A crisp westerly slicing clean down the spine of the swell. The midday sky was powder blue, the sun high, sharp, golden. And out front just off Surfers Paradise~1.5-metre crystal peelers ran down the bank like rolling silk, breaking with precision.
I stood on top of the sand dunes above Broadbeach, 300mm lens locked in, feet planted. The ocean was painting in high definition. Every frame was sharp enough, the horizon looked like a pencil line.
One set after another. No drop-ins. No riders. Just flawless symmetry and perfect tension, water bending, holding, releasing. Each photo is a still moment in motion, waves frozen mid-peel, untouched, elemental.
These photos are a testament to winter clarity at its rarest, especially only after Cyclone Alfred was here 4 months earlier.
Available now as a four-piece collector’s print series. One day. Four photos. Available in canvas or Acrylic
